Rev. Gretchen Deeg – Pastor
Pastor Gretchen has been leading our congregation since November 2013. Originally from central Ohio, Pastor Gretchen grew
up in the United Church of Christ and has always loved the inquisitive and welcoming nature of this denomination. She
received her Masters of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, Penn., and served a congregation in
Minneapolis, Minn., before coming to Bismarck. She enjoys being renewed by the outdoors and time with friends and family.

Katie Patrie – Youth Education and Outreach DirectorStarting on June 22, Katie Patrie will be serving as our Youth Education and Outreach Director. Katie has been a long-time UCC member and enters this position with a wealth of experience working with youth in a variety of settings.
Ann Sharp – Administrative Assistant
I accepted the position of Administrative Assistant with United Church of Christ as of March 1, 2015 and look forward to meeting and assisting the members of the Church. The greatest blessings in my life, besides my family, has been the wonderful people I have met while volunteering for the American Cancer Society, facilitating a cancer patient and caregiver support group and also being involved with a grief support group. My hobbies include time spent with family and friends whether it be watching sporting events, playing games or just sharing stories.
Vicki Martel – Organist
Vicki Martel joined the staff at United Church of Christ in February 1981 as organist and accompanist for the choir. She has been a church musician for over 40 years and is also a registered nurse. In her spare time, she likes to read and do crossword puzzles.

Danielle Abler – HandBell Choir Director Danielle Abler has been directing our Hand Bell Choir since February of 2014. Born and raised in Bismarck, music has always been an important part of her life. Singing in church from a young age, starting piano at age 9, and playing clarinet at age 10, she has never been without music. She graduated from the University of Mary with a Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Music Education. Danielle is currently a music teacher. She enjoys spending lots of time with her friends and family.
